MEDFORD >> The Medford Arts Center will host Karen McGreer as she performs her humorous, one-woman, original cabaret performance “What's so Funny about Love & Marriage?!” from 8 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 8 North Main Street here.
McGreer weds a dozen songs from the American Song Book with her own ideas about the insanity and humor of marriage to create a winning celebration for a couples' Valentine date night. She has had no limit on material in developing the show with over 30 years as a marriage and family therapist and her own loves and losses.
Seating is limited. Proceeds will benefit the Capital Campaign Renovations Campaign for the Medford Arts Center. McGreer is accompanied on piano by Joe Luca, who operates Creative Keys studio in Voorhees.
McGreer, is a long-time Medford resident with more than 30 years of experience as a marriage and family therapist. She is continually updating the original show adding new music and stories to her repertoire. She has performed "What's So Funny about Love & Marriage" nearly a dozen times in the last 10 years and continues to share music and laughter about what makes marriage ‘the ultimate people growing experience’.
The Medford Arts Center is an all-volunteer non-profit community organization. Medford Arts provides year-round exhibitions and classes and workshops from painting to photography for people of all ages. The center also hosts monthly Medford ArtWalks, poetry gatherings, and free classes for veterans. The Medford Arts Center is open Friday & Saturday 1-8 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. for regular gallery and gift shop hours.
