Fourth-graders from Cranberry Pines Elementary School took a field trip to the Dr. James Still Education Center recently.

The students got a look into the life of the first black doctor of the Pinelands, learning about the history of the area, from early Native American life in New Jersey, to medical practices in Dr. Still's era, to how the region fit in the saga of the Underground Railroad.
