MEDFORD >> On June 30 at 4:26 p.m., Medford Township Police, Fire, and EMS Departments responded to the area of Route 70 and Eayrestown Road for a motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, Luis A. Roldan, 36, of Philadelphia was standing outside of his Toyota Avalon complaining of knee and back pain, while Bert Marrese, 76, Waretown sustained no injures and was standing outside of his Ford Edge.

As a result of the on-scene investigation, Roldan failed to observe the "No Left Turn" sign as he attempted to make a left turn onto eastbound Route 70 from the southern exit of the Wawa. As Roldan crossed the westbound lane of travel Marrese, who was traveling straight in the westbound lane, collided with Roldan's vehicle, which resulted in both vehicles becoming disabled.

Roldan was issued motor vehicle summons for failing to observe a traffic control device and driving while unlicensed out of Pennsylvania. Both Roldan and his 3-year-old son, who was also inside the vehicle, were evaluated on scene and subsequently refused medical treatment by Medford EMS.
