Evesham detectives investigated two strong-armed robberies of FedEx drivers which occurred on June 26 and July 9. In both robberies, the two males staked out prearranged deliveries of pre-packaged cell-phones. When the FedEx drivers arrived with the packages, the males forcibly removed the packages from them and in one of the thefts the males stole the driver’s personal cell-phone.
Evesham detectives along with the Evesham Crime-Analyst, developed possible suspects from comparing a description of the suspect’s getaway vehicle by conducting extensive research within law enforcement databases. From that match, Evesham detectives along with members from the Philadelphia Police Department, responded to a home in the 700 block of Madison Street in Philadelphia and located the vehicle used in the prior strong-armed robberies.
While conducting surveillance on the target vehicle, Officers observed the suspects enter the target vehicle where three occupants were arrested with two being the suspects in both Evesham robberies. With the assistance of Philadelphia detectives, a search warrant for the vehicle was obtained and a subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of seven cell-phones.
