EVESHAM >> On July 19, Evesham police officers responded to the parking lot of 270 Greentree Road for a reported theft of a motorcycle here.

Investigation determined that the owner had posted his motorcycle for sale on the “Offer-Up” app. Through that posting he had arranged to meet a potential buyer for his Suzuki GSX Motorcycle. The potential buyer arrived on location with another unknown male inside his vehicle. While looking over the motorcycle the seller agreed to allow the male take it for a test drive. The potential buyer drove the motorcycle out of the parking lot and his companion followed behind him, neither returned.

A township investigator was summoned to the scene to assist in the investigation. The detective was able to uncover a possible address for the suspect. The detective and investigating officer responded to the 5500 block of Ludlow Street in Philadelphia and located the motorcycle parked in the roadway. The motorcycle was processed and towed back to Evesham where it was returned to the owner.

On Aug. 13, through an extensive investigation, the township investigator was able to identify the suspect who stole the motorcycle and issued warrant for his arrest.

Willie Singletary, 28, of Philadelphia has been charged with third degree theft of a vehicle. A warrant has been issued for his arrest and his current whereabouts are unknown.
