“You have to commend the great work The Arc of Gloucester does in helping individuals with developmental disabilities,” said Senator Sweeney (D-Gloucester/Salem/Cumberland). “We must continue to do everything we can to help individuals with disabilities lead their most fulfilling lives. I have always worked hand-in-hand with organizations like the Arc of Gloucester to make sure we fund programs that aim to achieve this goal.”
“I’m truly grateful to all those involved in making a dream come true to the four individuals who will have a new place to call home,” said Assemblyman Burzichelli (D-Gloucester/Salem/Cumberland). “It is the generosity and commitment of organizations such as the Builders League of South Jersey, The Arc of Gloucester and the Ziegenfuss family that allow individuals with disabilities live productive and fulfilling lives.”
“When countless people come together for a great cause, good things happen,” said Ana Rivera, The Arc of Gloucester “Tens of thousands of dollars were raised to build this group home. Every time we come together, we change lives and this new home will do just that to the four people who will inhabit it.”
The new group home will be large enough for four individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live in together. Tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of labor and supplies were donated by professionals who worked on the house, as well as contributions from the Builders League of South Jersey (BLJS).
