CHERRY HILL - Destiny J. Davis, 19, of Camden has been charged with aggravated assault and Diamond P. Howard has been charged with simple assault following an investigation into a disturbance that occurred  on Nov. 17 at approximately 12:05 a.m. at the Wawa located at 500 Route 38 here.

Davis and Howard were involved in a verbal altercation with a female patron inside the Wawa. While Davis and the patron argued, Howard climbed on top of the counter and spit at the patron while yelling at her. Davis then attacked the patron by pushing her to the ground and punching her repeatedly until others intervened and separated her from the victim.

Responding police units encountered Davis and Howard and both were arrested for disorderly conduct at the scene. The initial disturbance was captured by Wawa surveillance cameras and observed by responding officers; however the officers were not able to view any Wawa surveillance video which captured the actual assault. Following processing for disorderly conduct charges the females were released pending future charges for simple assault.

The Cherry Hill Police Department later learned of a video which had been circulated on social media that captured the assault. Further investigation resulted in charges being signed against Destiny Davis for aggravated assault for her role in the attack. Diamond Howard was charged with simple assault for her actions during the incident.
